Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Chef de Partie to join our dynamic kitchen brigade. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a section of the kitchen, ensuring the preparation and execution of high-quality dishes in line with our culinary standards. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in professional cooking, a passion for food, and a meticulous approach to presentation and hygiene. You will play a key role in supporting the Sous Chef and Head Chef by mentoring junior team members, maintaining consistency, and ensuring that each dish exceeds guest expectations.
Main Responsibilities
- To prepare food to a consistently high quality in line with menu specifications
- To suggest daily specials incorporating seasonal ingredients
- To input into the writing of menus for all food out lets with regular reviews.
- To assist with training and development of all departmental staff
- To liaise with Sous Chef/s to ensure exceptional service levels are consistently delivered to guests.
- To accept and check deliveries from agreed suppliers to ensure that they are to the specification requested.
Other Responsibilities
- To ensure all equipment is maintained in a clean working condition
- To report faulty equipment to Sous Chef / Head Chef
- To input into the compilation of and work within the agreed departmental budget
- To maintain hygiene standards in areas of responsibility
Financial Targets/Cost Awareness
- To monitor stock levels within own department and order using the correct procedures
- To control and manage to an agreed budget maximising yield at every opportunity
- To monitor stock rotation
Requirements
- All candidates MUST have an excellent standard of English and be very well presented
- Proven experience working in a Rosette establishment/ fine dining
- Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
- A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals that delight guests.
