Job Description:

As a Chef working in one of our partnered care homes, respite services, or rehabilitation units, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals that cater to the dietary needs and preferences of the residents. You will work closely with the care team to ensure all meals are nutritious, well-balanced and enjoyable.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and prepare a varied menu that meets the nutritional needs of residents and patients.
Ensure meals are prepared and served on time.
Adhere to all food hygiene and safety standards.
Cater for specific dietary requirements, including allergies and special diets.
Work within a budget while maintaining high standards of food quality.
Manage kitchen staff, including training and scheduling.
Order and manage inventory of kitchen supplies and ingredients.
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment.
Engage with residents and patients to receive feedback and make improvements to the menu

Qualifications and Experience:

Proven experience as a Chef, preferably within a care home, respite, or rehabilitation setting.
Knowledge of food hygiene regulations and safety standards.
Experience in menu planning and catering for special dietary requirements.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
A compassionate and patient approach to working with elderly residents and patients.
